WHAT an Interesting podcast with Paul Korda,ThankYou! Paul and I became very good friends when I lived for a number of years in L.A,where Paul would often sing his songs on piano and guitar in his apartment-I especially remember enjoying his song ‘Living In The Sky’-and,Guess WHAT! I recently had the pleasure of visiting him in London AND,he kindly gave me the Honour of Cutting his Hair! I can only hope that more people discover the great music of this talented and Soul-ful man and,Come On and USE it and spread the word-Heaven Knows Paul could do with some Royalties! So,how about that Virginal pickle s’Richard Branson? And Elon! Damn,dust-off your Musket- and shoot Paul up into the Stratosphere where he Deserves to Be! Sincerely,x Marcello W-Pals Forever!
Paul Korda – what an interesting podcast. He was on the fringes of so much of the music I enjoyed in the 60s and 70s but I had never heard of him before. Thanks for tracking him down and interviewing him.
So sad to learn of his passing. We worked together on “Beyond the Darkness” and other projects. He was one of a kind – and such a fabulous voice! I was always amazed at how he could drink coca cola and smoke cigarettes and still hit those amazing high notes with little effort. He could write a song in his sleep. You don’t run into people like this very much anymore. A true original.
Paul was a good friend at one time, don’t want to say anything bad except the truth, I was shocked to hear some of the things that Paul told other people about me, including Holdsworth. Anyway I gave up communication with him about a couple years before he left us. We had some great times and we wrote some great stuff together, also I’m glad I could help him out when he needed it. Sorry to say but things in life work out that way sometimes. Way to much stress & drama, and in the end tons of animosity I’m sorry to say.
