The Hollies have been my favorite band ever since I saw them on tour here in the US. I saw and heard the fantastic Hollies at the Santa Monica Civic Auditorium in California on Nov. 22, 1972. I was blown away hearing The Hollies with Mikael Rickfors. I thought he was a breath of fresh air for the band and that they were moving forward with a wonderful new vocal blend that sounded like the early 70s. The Hollies have had a long history but the lineup of Hicks/Sylvester/Rickfors/Elliot/Calvert will always hold a special place in my heart.
