In this podcast interview, Geoff charts his beginnings with groups like Steve & The Board, The Groove and Tin Tin. We also explore his significant contributions to Bee Gees albums Two Years On and Trafalgar, topping the US singles charts and why he took the decision to leave the group at a time of huge success. 1. Thanks for another highly interesting podcast. Being very much into the early Bee Gees (pre-disco) it was also exciting to get some more infos on “Tin Tin”. Their album “Astral Taxi” is a real lost masterpiece. I didn’t know, that the “Geoff” credited on the cover is Mr. Bridgford.
Besides all the great information it’s once again sad to hear, how all those great musicians seem to be immune to the effect of their own music. Their songs give so much warmth, energy and healing power to us listeners. We see the stars “shining” on stage and TV – and years later we often hear, what kind of a nightmare it was for them with personal problems and lots of heavy drugs and drinking. The music business is a world of illusion…….
