Peter Raeburn‘s debut album ‘Note To Self’ is a sonically pretty, moving collection of songs. Music soundscapes meet beautifully woven melody and insightful lyrics typified by the title track. He’s brought all his experience as an award winning composer, producer and music supervisor into this personal project. With songs like ‘The Stars’, ‘Just To Be With You’ and ‘People Person’ you wonder whether one these tracks will go viral like David Gray two decades ago, bringing Peter’s remarkable talent overground: spotify.com

Liverpool trio Joe Symes And The Loving Kind‘s album Phase II follows the path of their famous indie forefathers. There’s a Mancunian influence and all the better for it, ‘Come To Other Side’ has an Oasis-meets-Doves feel, whereas ‘Summer’s Almost Coming’ retains the Gallagher melody with a Squire-esque guitar phrase. The two minute ‘Turn Me On, Turn Me Out Tonight’ show the group’s knack for plucking a timeless melody out of the air: joesymesandthelovingkind.co.uk
