A superb glimpse into the aural art gallery of one of the UK’s most creative and yet unheralded musician’s!
The fact that Bill Nelson is so often namechecked by other artist’s as pioneering and inspirational is at least some form of validation, as if that were needed.
I had the pleasure of meeting Bill and his wife last year. A very genuine, caring, humble, creative man passionate about his craft.
This man’s creative genius has provided the soundtrack to my life.Hugely talented but frustratingly obscure artist, but for the diligent voyager,a rewarding find. I have great satisfaction in introducing his music to friends who prefer guitarists. Each and every one is awestruck and surprised as to why they hadn’t heard of him before. But then the sonic landscape opens up and they see his back catalogue……
Still singing along to Bills songs 45 years after hearing the first . I can’t think of anything better than walking in the countryside listening to adventures in a Yorkshire landscape . My family are under strict instructions to play Harvest of the stars at my funeral in the distant future ( hopefully).
