Rodney Cromwell ‘Rodney’s English Disco’ EP mines the creative peaks of Kraftwerk and Giorgio Moroder. If you have any interest in the 70s/80s synth sound this is a must purchase via Bandcamp or Happy Robots.
Shriekback‘s 14th studio album ‘Why Anything? Why This?’ has justly been hailed as one of their finest. A defiantly undefinable mix of Cohen-esque blues, shuffling percussion and cutting lyrics. More information is available at shriekback.com
Italian group The Mads have quite a heritage, being active in the second wave of mod in the late 70s/early 80s. Having reunited in 2012 their new album ‘The Orange Plane’ show that the band at their best. ‘What I Need’ is a vibrant melodic treat which mixes The Creation’s ‘Making Time’ feel with a soaring pop harmony. Schizo Fun Addict‘s “El Shoegaze Bossa Nova” is a brilliantly mad mix of shoegazing bossa-nova filtered through Ennio Morricone- out now on vinyl via Sugarbush Records and streaming on Soundcloud.

Born out of a vision to play progressive psychedelic pop without any electricity it is A delightful chocked full of psych pop songwriting, English folk and innovative intertwining production.
