Music Heritage London (MHL) has introduced new bus tours to the Capital this spring to celebrate the music and culture of the 60s, one of the most defining decades of 20th century Britain. The four immersive tours transport you back to a bygone era that continues to inspire new generations.
The opportunity to travel on an original 1960s Routemaster London bus between legendary music related venues, all to a backdrop of live commentary and popular music, completes this ultimate Swinging 60s experience.
There are four separate tours to choose from, running on Sundays and Tuesdays: the generic ‘Swinging 60s London’, the ‘Hendrix Experience’, ‘Rolling Stones and Beatles in West London’, and the ‘Hard Rock Museum’ tour. Commencing on Sunday March 25th, they offer a unique opportunity to see where rock stars, actors and socialites lived, performed and partied.
In addition to the tours, MHL has been hosting live 60s music nights at One Kew Road in Richmond and now the Troubadour in Earls Court. Previous performers have included the 60s All Stars, featuring Mick Avory of The Kinks, and internationally acclaimed tribute bands, such as Oye Santana and NOT The Rolling Stones.
