Since the beginning of the 1970’s I have always valued Albert Hammond’s music on sound carriers. Since I have listened to a lot of his live performances which he has done since the songbook recording of Live in Wilhelmshaven, back in 2013 he has become The Musical Magician of Pop Music since then. This esteemed evaluation of the life’s work of Albert’s music has been developed not only with regard to his output on sound carriers but also and most notably with regard to his live performances which, to my mind, do not only have a unique event standard in the field of pop concerts but also are made to touch Your Soul. This is, every time You can enjoy his performance, a unique Experience and feeling, every time You have the opportunity to meet this Musical Magician. He found a way to touch my soul with his music and, I guess, he will find the way to cast a spell on You, if You would let it happen. What is also special on Albert Hammond is that he has got the talent, skills, profession and perfection to play ROCK music as well as POP music. He is a kind of king in both sectors of music which is very rare too. Not many do have such a command over both ROCK and POP. I was so happy to listen to Albert Hammond, my favourite musician in POP music and happy to listen to Golden Earring as well in the year 2015 when both Albert Hammond and Golden Earring played their music at Lieder am See (Brombach See) in Bavaria. So my favourite Pop Musician and my favourite Rock band performed in 2015 on the stage of Lieder am See in Bavaria. A remarkable event, wasn’t it ? Not surprising to me was my experience there when Albert impressed the audience in PLAYING the ROCK as well as the POP ! The audience which had come to the festival to listen to the rock bands Ten Years After, Sweet, Golden Earring and the Pop musician Albert Hammond which may not have thought of Hammond to PLAY the ROCK were, literally, overwhelmed, how Albert Hammond played his guitar to rock the stage so vigorously and so convincingly. Once Hammond had started playing his ROCK songs too, the fans of Rock music on that occasion in Bavaria in 2015 did not stop shouting ” Yeah, keep on rocking, Albert !” Albert Hammond, really, is the MUSICAL MAGICIAN that can’t hardly be topped when it comes to his live performances. Each and every visit to his live performances has been a “festival and a celebration for MY SOUL and can be a festival for YOUR soul ! Try and tell it all others ! I, at least, have come to LIKE it all what Hammond has been doing since the 1970s and especially his live performances on the Songbook which he has been doing, all over the country and since the recording of “Live in Wilhelmshaven”, back into 2013 have contributed to my esteemed evaluation for this unique and great music… Don’t stop the show, Albert !!
Awesome song’s, you still rock albert.
