Have you been a music festival lately? Do you want to hear about a credit card approved band where you can get access to see them through your choice of bank or carbonated drink? Or get bombarded with adverts for a multinational between acts or be stopped by security for getting near the “VIP” area?

If the answer is NO! you may want to venture over to Italy as there is something interesting brewing….

Inspired by the 1971 Glastonbury Fayre that featured Traffic, Fairport Convention and Arthur Brown and idealistic group of Italians are recreating the spirit with the Fontanbury Free Rock Festival to be held in the Fontanabuona Valley, Genoa on 21 July 2012.

Fontanbury Free Rock Music Festival, Italy July 2012

The festival is a one day festival, in the middle of mountains, submerged in the countryside. The stage will be apparently made by pure rocks, lighted by flambeaux and drink and food for everybody!

With Italian prog heroes  La Maschera Di Cera, and a whole host of other acts including  Bosio, Medea Tarantula, LinFante spanning rock, psych and folk and with thousands signing up in just a few weeks it promises to be  a great event.
