Escaping from hopelessly rare vinyl and mp3 blog rips, Guerssen have newly remastered one of the great rare hard-rock LPs of the early 70s.
Ellison hailed from Montreal Canada, forming in Montreal in 1967. Comprising Vincent Marandola (vocalist/ guitarist), Richard Arcand (bass), Robert Cager (drums) and Christian Tremblay (guitars), they played gigs around Quebec before releasing their sole album on Trans-World Records in 1971.
Highlights include ‘Seal A Beam Bow’ (think Free’s ‘Mr Big’ with a more melodic edge), ‘Winter Sludge’ (a great Doors feel), Untruth Story (Ugly Ducklings take note), and acoustic ballad ‘Freedom’.
With a mix of North American and UK influences this new release is an essential purchase for fans of early seventies rock.
